Seven mandatory poses. Muscle, symmetry, conditioning.

Bodybuilding is judged on muscularity, symmetry, conditioning and presentation through seven mandatory poses. Athletes also perform a 60–90 second posing routine to music.

Attire: Posing trunks. No jewellery permitted on stage.

What this division is judged on

  • Muscle size and shape
  • Symmetry — left/right and upper/lower
  • Conditioning — leanness, separation, vascularity
  • Stage presence and posing precision
  • Crispness of mandatory poses
