Division

Adaptive

Adaptive athletes — inclusive natural bodybuilding.

The Adaptive division is open to athletes with physical disabilities. Posing is adapted to the athlete's mobility. Judging focuses on muscularity, conditioning, presentation and stage confidence — never on what the athlete cannot do.

Attire: Standard division-appropriate posing attire. Adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, prosthetics, etc.) is permitted.

What this division is judged on

  • Muscularity within the athlete's range
  • Conditioning and definition
  • Symmetry within physical ability
  • Presentation and stage confidence
  • Smooth transitions between adapted poses
